Getting Excited

Well, I'm really starting to get excited now. I went shopping today for a baby shower gift for a friend. She's having a little girl. Her C-section is already scheduled for the end of February. I saw all those little baby things and just almost couldn't help myself. Of course, my checkbook helped me contain my spending!!!!

I had my two oldest girls with me, and we had such fun looking at all the stuff. We decided on a feeding theme for the gift. We got bottles, binkies, and bibs. Then, we thought, what goes in must come out. RIGHT????? So, we also picked up diaper cream and a changing station. Now, I thought this was cute, my boys thought it was gross:)

Of course, I had to pick something up for baby. We got him a binky with his name on it. We'll see if he even takes to a binky when he's born. My second, Mr. Gamer, wanted nothing to do with binkies:) They've all been soooo different.

Easy Ham and Cheese Crescents

So, as usual, we were tired of eating the same ole sandwiches and stuff for lunch. However, we didn't want to increase the grocery bill or amount of time it took to get lunch done during the school day. That's when I got on the internet and found this idea on a blog site (unfortunately, I can't remember which one.) A simple ham and cheese on a crescent. There are a lot of variations and things you can add for your tastes. My kids however, are very simple; just ham and cheese please.

Let's get started cause this could take a while! LOL Simply, get a can of crescent rolls and start making your sandwiches. You can add whatever you want, ham and cheese, roast beef and provolone, turkey and cheese, spread a little pizza sauce and pepperoni with cheese, use italian dressing with pepperoni, salami, ham and cheese- then you have mini strombolies without all the work........Add whatever fixings you like, peppers, onions, banana peppers, black olives, mushrooms, etc........The possibilities are ENDLESS.

These are ours, like I said, simple ham and provolone cheese!!
Then of course, just roll them up like you would the plan crescents.
I baked them the same amount of time the crescent rolls called for (can't remember exact time, but it's on the crescent can.)
These are some golden brown, warm, delicious sandwiches.
YUMMY!!! Didn't really take any longer to fix than different kinds of sandwiches for all the kids. Everyone ate them except for Princess 1 and she doesn't eat meat for the most part, but that's a whole other story. Enjoy!!!

Not much to say

I don't have much to put on here today, or any day for that matter, so this will be short and sweet.

I am at 22 weeks and getting larger everyday. The best part, I can now feel little baby Samuel moving all around in here. This amazes me as much as the ultrasounds. I can't wait until all the kids can put their hands on my belly and feel their baby brother kicking the tar out of mommy.

The funniest thing through this pregnancy so far has been the reaction of my littlest, Mini-Me. She has been so funny. From the very time we told her she has declared him a boy. Now she has named him as well. Of course as you know from earlier, we have chosen Samuel. HOWEVER, Mini-Me has declared his name to be Diego. You can probably guess her favorite show right now. Anytime we talk about baby Samuel, she declares his name is Diego!! Too funny. Wonder how that's going to play out when he is actually here? Can't wait!!!

I'm little over half-way there. Will keep posting all the little/big things that happen so we can go back and remember later on. I love this process. If I weren't getting up in years and starting to have some health issues during pregnancy, I believe I'd have more. But, sure enough this little bundle of joy will probably be our last. Will just have to sit back and wait for grandchildren (and I do mean wait MANY years)!!!

It's a...................

Well, as usual it's been a while since I've been on here. However, we have some news!!! As mentioned in my last post, I had a great desire to find out what we were having, Boy or Girl!! As I said before, it doesn't matter one way or another, as long as little one is healthy, but I WANTED to know. We had our ultrasound January 4, 2011 and the result is.............
IT"S A BOY!!!! Just in case you can't figure out the ultrasound.

We are very excited. Though, we would be just as excited if this were a little girl. I do think that my littlest right now will deal better with a baby boy than a baby girl. She has said baby boy from the very beginning.

I've added just a couple of the pictures they got. I tell you I am amazed at what you can see inside of me. It just awes me everytime I have an ultrasound. However, with my last baby as well as this one, I have been able to have 3D and 4D ultrasounds. They truly put me in AWE of what is going on in there. They are even able to watch the baby move. I might try to post that one later. But for now, enjoy the pics.

THINKING, THINKING, THINKING!!!!!!

He's smiling at us :) It's just so precious that we can see all this so early. Though this little fellow is only 20 weeks in my womb, he moves, he can smile (as you can see), has his own heartbeat, he is practicing breathing already, and swallowing, and doing all kinds of things on his own. I'm only his oven and food source right now. I love him just as much as if he were already in my arms.

My prayer right now is that he is healthy and I can carry him to term. With my health issues, that is a little bit iffy?? They have already thrown out the word bedrest and I'm a little bit nervous. For two reasons, I can't afford to be on bedrest, and if they are throwing that word around, they are a little concerned as well. So, prayers are appreciated and I will keep you posted.
