Some more pics of Baby Samuel

Once again, I got a little peak at our beautiful baby boy!!! How do I know he's going to be beautiful? Well all of the others were and what baby isn't? These ultrasounds aren't as detailed and therefore the pictures are not as good. I do get to go every week so they can monitor his growth, fluid levels and blood flow so, I'll not complain. He wasn't in to having his picture taken this morning either. He kept his little arm and umbilical cord up in front of his face, but here are a couple profile pics and one of his little foot pressed up against my side.

You can see his little arm raised up in front of his face. We couldn't get one picture of his tiny little face this morning :(

There is that little foot that presses and kicks me constantly:)

And another little profile pic still with that arm up.

On a good note, he is growing well, weighing in at 4 lbs 10 oz already. They are very pleased with his growth. Considering my blood pressure history, they expect a lower weight baby. My fluid levels are good and the blood flow through the cord is good. The only questionable reading this am was the blood pressure, but we're watching that and I guess I'll just have to take it easy this week:) Easier said than done with 5 other children and remodeling going on!! We'll try though!!!

It's Monday again!!!

It's Monday again. I made it through another weekend of work (barely). It was a tough weekend for sure which resulted in some premature contractions:( I saw my OB this morning and am pretty sure this was my last weekend of work. I already have the note, just waiting to see what the staffing situation holds for my next scheduled weekend.

On another note, it's time to decide what this week holds. There is so much to do and I don't see it all getting done. But, we'll sure try. My dad is coming at the end of the week to help get some work done on the basement. So thankful for that. That means the menu for the week will be simple, then we'll feed Pappy well!!

Monday: hot dogs, mac n cheese, green beans, french fries

Tuesday: chicken gravy biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn

Wednesday: BBQ chicken, peas and asparagus, homemade mac n cheese

Thursday: homemade pizza

Friday: crock pot beef roast (new recipe)

Saturday: steak, homemade fries, baked beans, crescent rolls

Sunday: steak n gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, rolls

Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Plans for the Week

Well, I'm hoping this week won't be as busy. The only thing on the schedule so far is a dentist appointment for Mini-Me (but, I think she's got an ear infection sooooo......they won't work on her). Then, of course, continued work on the house to try and get ready for Baby!!!

Anyway, the sales ads aren't looking too great this week, so the menu is going to be simple:

Monday: steaks, roasted potatoes, cooked carrots

Tuesday: hot dogs, green beans, mac n cheese, french fries

Wednesday: steak n gravy, mashed potatoes, corn, peas, rolls

Thursday: homemade pizza

Friday: spaghetti

This is my work weekend, so the meals for the weekend are up to hubby:) Just got to find out what he wants to fix so I have the ingredients on hand.

I Passed!!!

Praise the Lord!! I passed the 3 hour glucose!! I cannot even begin to tell you what a relief that is. My sweet tooth is in full force with this pregnancy. I want cake, cookies, chocolate, all things sweet. I just could not imagine not being able to eat ANY of it. But, I would have done it for Baby Samuel's health if I had to. I'm thinking a batch of no-bake cookies are in order tonight:)

30 Week check-up

Well, not a lot to tell from this appointment. My blood pressure was really good. On the other hand, I am spilling protein in my urine that is detectable in the office. All that really means is that I'm probably above that magical number of 300 on the 24 hour urine. So, of course, I have to repeat another 24 hour urine before my next appointment on March 21 and depending on what that shows will probably be out of work and on "modified bedrest".

Still waiting on the 3 hour glucose results, they weren't back yet:( Saying multiple prayers that I passed that. I just don't see myself being a very compliant diabetic. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my sweets. I guess I'd do what I had to though.

On a bright spot, Baby Samuel is measuring 2 weeks ahead of my date, moving well, looks good on the ultrasound and has a good strong heartbeat.

Another Sneak Peak at Baby Samuel

Last Tuesday, I had another ultrasound with the high risk OB. The entire family got to go in and get another peak at Baby Samuel ( much to the u/s techs dismay). I'm use to getting looks when I have all my children with me, but I almost had to be rude to this little girl. She declared there were only two seats in the room, soooo...........My response was they could stand. Don't judge my children before you even meet them. They all stood in there and watched the pictures be taken and barely uttered a word. So, take that!!!!! ANYWHOOOOOO.......... Everything looked good, baby is weighing in around 3 pounds already. I'm measuring about two weeks early and my blood pressure was better than it has been in a long time. Can't ask for more than that, can we?

Still thinking, thinking, thinking!!!
I believe he's got my nose!!! Already so cute and absolutely loved. Can't wait til May gets here and I can hold him in my arms. AWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

Must say, this u/s tech did not have much patience and did not get as good pictures as the other girl. Samuel kept trying to hide his face with that little arm:)

None the less, we have another appointment scheduled for around 32 weeks. Maybe I'll get the nicer tech this time:) We'll start going once a week at that point to closely monitor baby Samuel's growth due to my history of blood pressure issues.

Love getting all these pictures before he ever arrives!! Stay tuned, maybe we'll be able to see if he will have hair like Mandi and Abby or be a baldy like the rest of them.

Another Monday

Well, last week was a blur! Thad's grandmother went home to Heaven early Sunday morning and the week proceeded to just fly after that. Monday was spent packing and getting clothes and shoes for these constantly growing children. Then Tuesday I had an appointment with my high risk OB doctor, everything looked good, so we all headed to WV for the funeral. Wednesday was the funeral and the rest of the day was spent trying to visit with my dad and grandma. Then of course, Thursday was travel back home day. Friday and Saturday was back to work for me and hubby. Sunday is always church and now it's another week with much catching up to do. So, here's the plan:

Monday: lots and lots of school work (catching up from last week) so a very simple and easy dinner, Roast, potatoes and carrots in the crock pot.

Tuesday: I have to take the three hour glucose test so the am is shot already, but dinner should be good. Steak and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, corn and rolls

Wednesday: Yet another doctor's appt. Veggie soup for supper!!

Thursday: More school work, homemade pizza for supper.

Friday: We're gonna try a new way to fix steak tonight, a recipe my dad told me about. I'll let you know how that goes....Steaks, homemade fries, baked beans and fruit salad. YUMMY!!!

Saturday: bourbon chicken (also a new recipe for me), rice and veggies

Sunday: Repeat of Tuesday (I got a family pack of cubed steak for a super good price, gotta use it up)

Hope everyone has a good and productive week.
